How can I be seen & heard more as a Human Design Manifesting Generator? with Alicia Rose of Eternally Evolving

In this episode, I am excited to talk with our guest Alicia Rose, who is a registered social worker, spiritual coach, and artist.

Alicia is currently working as a social worker. She just got her master's in social work last year and is working as a crisis counselor. But in her personal life, for the last few years, she has been working a lot on overcoming her anxiety and re-learning her self-worth. She's starting a new business, launching new programs that are focused more on self-worth and self-love, and taking more of a spiritual approach to healing. She is really looking to learn how she can gain more confidence in just being seen by potential clients and then attract those clients who want to work with her or want to purchase one of the things that she is offering.

What is she currently doing as far as her marketing and sales are concerned?

Alicia mostly uses her Instagram page and tries to share her journey about what she's learning along the way and trying to provide some value for other people. Mostly, let people know that they're not alone in whatever they're going through and that there's someone there that can kind of relate to them. She had been through it and found some things that helped her, so she wanted to share them with others. She has a website but doesn't get much traffic to it, so she's really trying to do it mostly through Instagram.

What’s her experience with human design?

She knows that she is a manifesting generator and has also seen some posts pop up every once in a while on my Instagram and she really resonates with them, so what she sees about her design that she really connects with, she is not sure about the extent to which she knows.

It's interesting to know that she has been diagnosed with ADHD, so she feels like she has a lot of ideas and wants to take action on them really fast, and she still struggles with procrastinating and a little bit of perfectionism, like not wanting to start in case it's not perfect.

Being diagnosed with mental illness is something different than human design. What she says about how ADHD kind of comes to life is very similar to how a manifesting generator acts, to one extent. I almost wonder if there's a link between that, like having ADHD and being a manifesting generator because I don't think everyone who is a manifesting generator also has ADHD. But I'm curious because it's really important in marketing to have some kind of specificity, or clarity, in your message. The challenge for manifesting generators is to pursue what really lights them up.

Whatever lights you up, you can kind of manifest it really quickly, or like take action on it really quickly. You come up with ideas for creating things really quickly, almost too fast. Everyone's like, "Well, how did you do that so fast?" or "How did that even happen?"I think from a marketing and business perspective, it's like, how can you connect the dots between all the things that you're doing and keep them in a clear way? There's some sort of string that connects the different things that you're doing. I think what I love about your strategy as a manifesting generator is that, like I just said, you get a lot of ideas that you want to take.

What are the things that really light her up?

She recently started offering free 30-minute consultations for her business individual coaching, and she has done a few of them, and she finds that after she does them, she feels so happy, excited, and fulfilled, even though she is not paid for them. She's not doing it for anything other than just to connect with people, and it feels really good. She really resonates with "what lights her up".

Everything comes quickly because she finds that when she first decided to start this business, it really hasn't been that long. But as she keeps following, like what feels good to her or what excites her, things have just been happening really fast, like she gets new ideas really fast. She always expected that success and growth would take a long time. But she thinks that she is building the foundations and that what she wants to offer is coming really quickly because she is just trying to tune into what feels good to her.

Her best work is not just in terms of how fast it manifests, but the frequency with which she goes into it. I like how she connects with people, and I think that's great because it's just like an energy perspective that lights her up. That's really exciting, and I love the concept of 1-on-1 calls because I think there's a lot you can get from a more tactical marketing perspective. That is like learning to understand who your ideal person is so that you can target them. Speak to them more clearly about their struggles. What are the things that they like? What do they really want to do? Why are they speaking to you and, like, you can pull out snippets of that and use them on your own?

Another important thing is that being a manifesting generator, you are kind of moving between things and can move pretty quickly between things. You attract people that understand your journey. I think your journey is really interesting, and I'm curious how you can relate to it.

Alicia has waves that naturally go through things and emotions, like she controls the emotions of the room or, in the case of her business, the environment. She has control over the emotions of her audience who are reading her posts, and I consider that a superpower because, like, she uses her words to explain her process of emotions, like what triggered them, what they feel like, and how you kind of process them, which I think ties in so beautifully with her social work, and also, she can help people show them their own, like help them discover their own process. I feel those two things kind of go hand in hand to help her tell more stories, but like her intuition with her emotions. She can use that as her superpower, as how did she overcome it, and how does she process those feelings in her own life and other such things? Her superpower is that she can help other people with their emotions.

Whenever she was having a bad day and was noticing more low-vibe emotions, she realized that her focus at the time was like, "Okay, well, what can I do to get out of this emotion?" She couldn't really figure out why it was there, what triggered it, or what it reminded her of. She thinks for her personal growth and business, she can shift into a better emotion and also think about what that emotion means for her and how she can work through it that way.

What helps her connect with people, well, those are the posts that people are like, "yes." Yeah, I want to keep reading more. You know, it's like those posts might not be the ones that get you a ton of new followers. But those are the ones that help people understand if you're the right coach for them. It's especially finding people where they're at, like if someone's looking to work with you. They are probably struggling with some of those emotions that they have and don't know how to handle them, and so it's like seeing that you still go through those, you have a process, but it's human. It doesn't matter how much experience you have going through them, because this is also a part of your chart, and it's going through a cycle. It's like learning and growing and continuing to evolve through those natural cycles.

She has a 5/1 profile, which is really how you best connect and relate to others. With numbers one, two, numbers 1 through 6, and so on, you have a 5-1 profile. So I could talk about this all day because I like to relate to it quite a bit. Obviously, I've been studying this more in-depth than anything else. But the first number, so you're 5, is like it's kind of like your leadership style or like when you're trying to be a guide or a mentor, what's the role that you step into and then the second number, one, is

What do other people see you as? What do you look like to other people? The 5 is someone who likes to offer solutions like inefficiency to things, which I think really ties in beautifully with likes. You're that manifesting generator in a way where you're like, okay, I see this problem. This is how I'm going to solve this problem. That's like a very manifesting generator thing where you just kind of see a problem. You're like, "Okay, I'm going to fix it and you just go do it," and then the one side of things is that you're not like, "Is it?" What it's called in terms of traditional human design is "being an investigator." As a result, it's someone who has a wide body of knowledge and authority, and expertise in things.

When I'm looking at your business, I'm trying to contextualize a little bit, so it's like what I feel like people will resonate a lot with is not just your experience, which we already talked about, but the fact that you're a registered social worker means you have legit professional training on how to work on things like self-worth and self-love, and so I almost want you to like share more of that if you have any.

She was a little afraid to show that part because that was one of the things she shared in the introduction post, which was only like last week or the week before, and she has been doing this account for like a year now, so maybe she was a little nervous to say something like, "Okay, I actually have training in this and education in this," because then it does give me that authority, so it's almost like I was almost scared to step into that authority where I'm not an expert, but I have another level of knowledge above just my own personal experience.”

So I think that stepping into that kind of connects to what I asked about. I don't know how I can increase my visibility and just allow myself to be seen as that's a really big part of who I am. What's the point of not including that on my Instagram and my small business?

So, whatever framework you select today may change in six months or a year as being a manifesting generator. You have well-rounded expertise that you have, and how you apply that specifically to the people you help, it's helping them understand because they do like seeing that and you like it. So it's like, how do you kind of demonstrate that through just sharing a little bit about your framework, sharing about your experience, like what you're currently going through and how you're using that framework to help you through what you're going through? It's kind of meta.

To me, the journal you launched at the beginning of the year is a perfect example of what the 5 sides are all about. Things like that I absolutely love, and that's a great application of the five lines. You know, it's like how can you give someone something that helps make their life easier that is more efficient than the process?

She has this fear that if she posts the answers or the steps, then they won't want to work with her further, and I've heard a lot of things like, "Well, we'll give them what to do but not how to do it" and things like that. I don't know if that really resonates with me, but it's just been like in my mind that if I give you the answers, then like well, what do you need me for from there? I believe that acknowledging that has prevented me from sharing that kind of value with others.

Someone who's coming through as a coach might be scared to admit that, and the fact that I am gathering this is just through the training that you do and just your own process, on your own growth journey. It's very natural that you are explaining it to me right now. So I am really excited to see all this new content come through because I feel like it's just going to be super juicy and, again, just really connect and resonate with those people, because, like I said, the goal is to get them on that call. And then you know, of course, to get them into your one-on-one, but the first step, of course, from Instagram to that is like getting them on the call, which lights you up, which feels more content, and then you kind of like this noble effect continues to go right.

What are the two or three biggest takeaways that you want to take forward in your business and in your marketing?

Alicia was thinking about making her Instagram more relatable, not in the way she was thinking at first, where it was just more casual posting, but rather by sharing more about her specific journey and then also by sharing other people's journeys. So, just like opening up more so that people can connect with her more, what will ultimately bring them to her and make them want to work with her is not just that. I know how to work with someone who's going through this, but it's not that I'm human too. I've worked through this or I'm currently working through this. So let me show you that number one. Two things: one, it's okay if you're going through this, and two here's my process for how I'm dealing with it. Maybe it will help you.
